Equipment

The general description for devices that are additionally needed to produce a part in the required quality in a workstation or production line. Equipment is related to the tools and machines (e.g. fixtures, gauges, screw-drivers, material racks, lubricants), to safety and the environment (e.g. light, exhaust, scanner, fences, signs) and to the organization of the process (e.g. instructions, kanban utilities).
