Flow Rack

Storage for materials required for a production operation. Following the FIFO principle, the materials are inserted in on one side of the shelf, roll to the other side due gravity and are withdrawn on the other side. The gravity flow racks were specifically designed for each line and operation. Each shelf is used for a discrete part number and a specific amount of parts. Following the batch size of the kanban cards, the gravity flow rack size is calculated for all required materials as well as the cycle time of the operation.
