Waiting Queue

Part of the KANBAN system. It is a visual scheduling and information tool to provide a queue of upcoming production runs. The waiting queue is a holder with a rail or slide where KANBAN cards are inserted on one side and withdrawn on the other. The withdrawn cards are the instruction to produce the parts. There are usually two slides, one for the regular process, one for urgent or priority tasks. Each slide is also coloured, with a red area that will indicate too many or not enough cards in the slide.
