CHAKU-CHAKU
Japanese expression for “load, load”. In the context of lean manufacturing, chaku-chaku stands for a manufacturing method, where people in production lines move the products (semi-finished) from one workstation to another instead of handling devices. Chaku-chaku is related to production lines in U-shape, one-piece flow and often requires poka yoke. The output of the production line can be adjusted by adding or removing operators.
